Eldamont handbags are designed by fashion designer Elvardo Wilson.
The main material used to make the bags comes from a very durable type of palm tree called the ‘Silver palmtop’ which are native to the Bahamas. The overall process leading up to the final product can be time consuming and difficult. The straw starts as a green leaf which is hand-picked, cleaned and stripped of its rough sides before it can be weaved. There are many styles and techniques of weaving the palmtop which is all done by hand. Each bag is weaved, decorated and stitched by hand. The time, dedication and craftsmanship invested in each bag make them a work of art or what we like to call "couture handbags".
All bags are made exclusively in the Bahamas.
